KVH Hires Executive Director

Kentucky Voices for Health (KVH) is pleased to announce that Jodi Mitchell has joined the organization as its Executive Director, effective April 19, 2010. Mrs. Mitchell brings over ten years of health care policy and advocacy experience on both the state and federal level. A large portion of her efforts have focused on provider and consumer issues and building coalitions united to achieve common goals and grassroots mobilization.

KVH Co-Chairs Sheila Schuster and Rich Seckel noted: "We are thrilled to have found in Jodi the winning combination of proven leadership skills, strong administrative capabilities, and significant health policy experience to help Kentucky Voices for Health broaden its outreach and increase its impact."

Prior to joining Kentucky Voices for Health, Mrs. Mitchell served as a Principal for McCarthy Strategic Solutions where she assisted with the development and implementation of government relations, business development and advocacy plans for various clients. She has also worked with the American Optometric Association supporting optometry’s efforts in quality improvement and health care reform. Mrs. Mitchell holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Bowling Green State University.
